Stubborn Worker (Story)

This story is short, simple and profound. You can tell it was given me rather than one of my own, which tend to be quite detailed and verbose. :P

There was once two workers who worked side-by-side together, doing the same work. One worked steadily at the pace that was asked, but the other worked above and beyond the call. Eventually, this worker tired out and became quite ill, no longer able to do the work.

The work that person was asked to do fell to the other worker, who now had the responsibility of accomplishing both jobs at the same time. In time, the second worker also fell quite ill and could no longer work either.

The work was thus left unfinished...
