- College students save 19 kids from jihadist fate The children were rescued at a bus stop in the capital city of Dhaka by college students. The Dhaka University students also captured Binoy Tripura, the man who was trafficking these children.
- Nurse from Secaucus will get hero's welcome at State of the Union Sanchez, a nurse and Secaucus resident, has been invited as a guest of the Obamas because of her heroic acts during superstorm Sandy.
- Colville leaders honoring 4th grade hero The boy spotted weapons inside a classmate’s backpack last week. Sanders noticed a knife inside the bag while riding the bus to Fort Colville. School leaders said Sanders immediately told a lunchroom monitor when he arrived at school.

HELPING HANDS:
- NC students donate North Central Elementary students wanted to reach out and make a difference by collecting items for the Bryan Care and Rehabilitation Center, Evergreen Manor Nursing Home and the Williams County Humane Society.
